Skipton is easily accessible by road from all directions. The map below will help you find the easiest route.

A regular train service connects Leeds and Bradford to Skipton. and also to Morecambe on the west coast. From Skipton station you can take a day trip on the famous Settle Carlisle line travelling over the Ribblehead Viaduct. There is also a daily through train to and from London Kings Cross which takes about 3 hours.

The nearest airport is Leeds/Bradford, about 30 miles away.

Travelling by bus you arrive from  Leeds, Bradford and local towns at the bus station on Keighley Road. National Express coaches also arrive here from  the London Victoria Bus station. Pennine buses, a Skipton company, with their distinctive orange livery and friendly service, provide services to the local villages, Settle and Lancashire.www.pennine-bus.co.uk. There is also a Mainline bus service which starts from Burnley bus station travelling to Skipton every hour. www.mainlinebus.co.uk

 

You can arrive in Skipton by canal boat, on the Leeds Liverpool canal and moor in the centre of town. You can also take a cruise from Skipton along the canal for a short breaks or for longer.
